VTT to SRT

Turn VTT (WebVTT) subtitles into SRT: drop the file, pick SRT, download. The header and note blocks are cleaned up and timestamps go back to comma notation.

When you need SRT back

CapCut, Premiere, most desktop players, and older subtitle tools accept SRT only. Subtitles downloaded from the web or from YouTube usually come as VTT — convert them to SRT to import directly.

What gets cleaned from the VTT

The WEBVTT header line, NOTE blocks, STYLE/REGION blocks, and cue settings after the timing line (like align:start) are not subtitle text — they are dropped automatically; numbering is restored and the millisecond separator goes back from a dot to a comma.

Upload area: a VTT file loaded, detected as VTT
A file with a WEBVTT header is detected as VTT right away

How to convert

Open the converter, drop in the VTT, choose SRT - SubRip as the output, then convert and download. The text and timing values stay untouched.

Conversion result: SRT numbering with comma timestamps
The converted SRT: cue numbers + comma timestamps

Runs entirely in your browser, nothing to install.
